Scarlet Heart Based on the popular novel by Tong Hua, the blockbuster period series Bu Bu Jing Xin is the most highly anticipated Chinese drama of 2011. The latest series from renowned director/producer Lee Kwok Lap, Bu Bu Jing Xin steps back in time to the romantic and political upheavals of the Qing court. A frequent star of Lee Kwok Lap dramas, Cecilia Liu Shishi plays a young woman who jumps back in time to the reign of Kangxi, and gets drawn into the ascension struggle among the royal princes. Both a heartrending romance and a historical drama, Bu Bu Jing Xin uses its fantasy premise and fictional heroine to observe and affect well-known figures and episodes in Qing Dynasty history.

Bu Bu Jing Xin has inspired a fervent following for its outstanding cast of royal princes. Taiwan actor-singer Nicky Wu stars as the stone-faced 4th Prince who eventually rises to the throne as Yongzheng, while TVB actor Kevin Cheng, collaborating with Lee Kwok Lap again 12 years after The Legendary Siblings, is the genteel 8th Prince destined for tragedy. The other members of the royal family are Han Dong as the scheming 9th Prince, Ye Zuxin as the simple-minded 10th Prince, Lee Kwok Lap regular Yuan Hong as the unbridled 13th Prince, and newcomer Lin Gengxin as the loyal 14th Prince. Veteran Hong Kong actor Damian Lau reigns over all as Emperor Kangxi.

Kim Tae Hee has been experiencing relentless attacks by Japanese netizens. This time, their reason for disapproval was that she appeared to be disrespectful towards a Japanese reality show.

This event occurred on October 21 when Kim Tae Hee appeared as one of the guests for the Japanese reality show, "It's Okay to Laugh!" (笑っていいとも!) that aired on Fuji TV.

The show's main guest was Nishijima Hitaetoshi who will be appearing on the drama, "Me and My Star's 99 Days," along with Kim tae Hee that will air on October 23.

After Nishijima Hitaetoshi revealed the drama's main poster, he briefly introduced Kim Tae Hee - subsequently,

Kim Tae Hee appeared on the show. Kim Tae Hee then instinctively sat between MC Tamori and Nishijima Hitaetoshi and started having a conversation with them about Japanese cuisine and stories related to their drama promotions.

To the Korean viewers, the show seemed like it went well without having any major or minor problems. To the

Japanese viewers, however, the show had apparent problems that were all caused by Kim Tae Hee. The problems all have to do with Kim Tae Hee's lack of manner and respect towards the show. The following are some of their reasons:

She did not greet the show's producers when she was introduced to the show.

She sat down without MC Tamori's permission.

She sat down between MC Tamori and Nishijima Hitaetoshi - it's more mannerly for her to let the main guest of the show, Nishijima Hitaetoshi, sit in the middle.

She spoke too much with MC Tamori about Japanese cusine and drama promotions - this hindered Nishijima Hitaetoshi, the main guest, from speaking.

During the show, Japan's large community called 2CH gave comments such as "She really doesn't have any manner," "It seems reasonable for the person who hates Japan to not let a Japanese person speak," and

"How could she sit in the middle when she's not even the main guest?"

These comments quickly spread out through the Internet that allowed many Japanese citizens to join the act

started by 2CH.

There were still some supportive Japanese communities that did not understand such negative comments.

Their reaction was that MC Tamori and Nishijima Hitaetoshi purposely let Kim Tae Hee sit in the middle to

show respect towards the Korean actress. An aquaintance of these communities commented, "In most Korean dramas, Korean men tend to be more respectful towards women so it seems reasonable for MC Tamori and Nishijima Hitaetoshi to show respect by letting Kim Tae Hee sit between them. This is really embarrassing for me and I don't want the other countries to see this."

This whole controversy between Kim Tae Hee and some Japanese communities started when it was revealed th... READ MORE
