Actress chose Friends over Saturday Night Live gig

Jennifer Aniston’s career fate could have been very different had she turned down Friends – the actress was offered a comedy career as a regular on Saturday Night Live at the same time the popular sitcom came up.

During a TV chat with Oprah Winfrey on Wednesday, the actress's longtime pal Adam Sandler revealed the interesting fact about 41-year-old Jennifer as the two movie stars were promoting their new film, Just Go with It.

He explained that the actress was hot comedy property when he was a writer/comic on the weekly satirical show.

He said, ‘We wanted Aniston to be on the show with us and I remember... seeing Jen come in. I was like, “Oh my God, there's Aniston; is she about to be on our show?”

‘I was like, “I'm gonna be working with Aniston”, and then she said no: “She's gonna do that Friends; what the hell is Friends?”’

Jennifer recalled, ‘They thought I was making a huge mistake.’
