For some lucky celebrities, 2010 will be remembered as a great year but for some the year was full of legal problems, affairs, and other scandals. Check out our recap of 2010′s hottest stories!
Many celebrities have celebrated weddings and new bundles of joy in 2010 but others were involved in scandalous behavior!
Let’s recap some of the top celebrity moments for 2010:
Sandra Bullock had quite a year after winning an Oscar for “The Blind Side”, which was quickly followed by reports her husband Jesse James had cheated on her with several tatted-up whores. But Sandra went through her divorce with class and even adopted a baby boy, Louis Bardot.
Charlie Sheen had his share of issues this past year, having to appear in court in August over his domestic violence incident last Christmas with estranged wife Brooke Mueller. Sheen entered a plea bargain, pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault and received 30 days in rehab and 30 days of probation. But his problems didn’t stop there after he went apeshit in the Plaza Hotel in October. Police were called when he went crazy after a night of drinking while with porn star Capri Anderson. In November, Charlie filed for divorce from wife Brooke Mueller.
Lindsay Lohan had some legal drama after she skipped her court-mandated hearing. During her probation hearing the judge determined Lohan had violated her probation and sentenced her to 90 days in jail and a 90-day rehab program. She was released after serving 14 days in prison, and only 23 days in rehab. But a month later she failed a drug test and was sent back to jail. The troubled actress posted bail and released with a SCRAM bracelet. In October Lindsay was ordered to rehab until January 2011.
Mel Gibson was a huge topic of discussion in 2010 but not for his awesome movies. Mel Gibson and his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva had a nasty split with their daughter Lucia in the middle. The custody battle got ugly quickly and allegations of domestic violence emerged. Audio tapes of a crazed Mel Gibson were released and rumors of Oksana allegedly trying to extort the actor emerged.
Disney star Miley Cyrus is all grown up now and had a few racy photos leaked in 2010. Cyrus was also caught on video smoking a bong filled with salvia last month.
Hollywood couple’s divorcing normally isn’t very newsworthy but there were a few surprising splits this year! Courteney Cox and David Arquette decided to call it quits as well as Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman. Other splits included Tony Parker and Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds.
There were some happy times this year too such as Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins, Celine Dion’s twins, and many other celebrity births. Also several celebrities walked down the aisle this year including Katy Perry and Russell Brand and Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.
