Shocking accusations were made earlier that former Miss Hong Kong's second runner-up, Noel Leung had been cheating on her husband, Hong Kong actor Gary Chan for a restaurateur named Brian Wong.

Based on TVB News World, Noel stressed that the two were just classmates – treating the false allegations as if it was a joke. Her husband had also responded through a text message sharing that the couple had mutual trust in each other.

Such rumours shocked many artists as Noel had been said to possess a 'good wife' and motherly image. Two days ago, the former pageant contestant came forward and said, "I'm very surprised! In my 22-year career, this was the first time I graced tabloid covers!" while also stating her reasoning of not responding earlier was due to her busy schedule.

The 43-year-old had not expected such tale on herself to be published when she realised tabloid photographers capturing images of her. "We went to the same class. All the students get along very well. Brian's restaurant in the Central district is the place where we often gather together," she explained.

Rumours that she and Brian had entered the storage room together were also untrue; as claimed by the Macau-born actress. Showing little knowledge of Brian's Weibo blog post and allegations of flirtatious messages with the restaurateur, Noel had publicized that she will not end her friendship with Brian over some petty rumours.

"I'm a very warm person. In my 22-year career, I have never had this kind of rumour. I feel that linking arms and hugging are normal friendly behaviour, but you may feel surprised," said Noel adding that she had a healthy understanding with her husband, Gary Chan.... READ MORE

Chrissie Chau, bikini model and "Million Dollar Babe" of Hong Kong, is set to star in a new movie. The film, a drama about beach volleyball called Beach Spikes, sounds perfect for the model-turned-actress.

Chrissie Chau: Bikini Model 'Million Dollar Babe' to Star in Beach Volleyball MovieIn the movie, which begins airing on Sunday night on Starhub cable, Chau will continue to hone her acting chops playing a waitress named Sharon. She works at a restaurant owned by Kung Fu master Uncle Tao.

Ultimately, a group of beach volleyball players will play a game to win the use of their beloved beach in the film, and there are sure to be plenty of Chrissie Chau bikini shots to entice viewers to continue watching the movie. The model became famous by stripping down to her bikini in a Slim Beauty commercial while she walked the streets of Hong Kong.

Before the movie, Chau did not know how to play beach volleyball, but she spent three months learning. Of her experience with the movie, the bikini star said, "We were shooting on one of Hong Kong's most beautiful beaches and so it felt great. Learning volleyball was like returning back to my secondary school days. I think because of the exercise, everyone's stamina and body reflexes during that time were better too."

While she is ridiculed by others for being a "pseudo model" in Hong Kong, the actress appears to ignore the criticism and simply focus on doing the job she loves to do and doing well. This attitude seems to have served her well over the past few years, and hopefully she will continue in her success despite her detractors.... READ MORE

Shu Qi Biography Hongkong SuperStar

Shu Qi Biography Hongkong SuperStar

At 17, Shu Qi started modell
ing, with a face and body to die for, Shu Qi soon was doing nude picture series. Seing her face on a magazine cover, Hong Kong producer Manfred Wong tracked her down and became her agent. He signed her for Sex & Zen II, a category III (adults only, soft porn) movie.

After that Shu Qi starred in Viva Erotica, which won her recognition and several prizes. In 1997 her manager Manfred Wong told TIME: “If you’re an unknown and from Taiwan, there is no such thing as doing art and high-class films. Shu Qi knows if she doesn’t strip, she can’t be a star.”

After Shu Qi awards for "Viva Erotica", Shu Qi started getting roles in typical Hong Kong movies. She showed off that gorgeous body, she smiled her dazzling widescreen smile and she fluttered around as a no-brain butterfly (how Hong Kong movies see a lot of their female stars). But when Shu Qi was allowed to act ("For Bad Boys Only", "City of Glass" and "Portland Street Blues"), she showed enormous potential.

For a movie star to cross over from (soft) porn to mainstream is extremely difficult – and nearly unheard of in Hong Kong. For any actress anywhere to get good female roles with meat on them is very hard as well. When you see a good role – grab it fast. Shu Qi got the chance in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". Ang Lee’s first choice for the role of Jen (Zhang Ziyi got it) was Shu Qi. She was on board for eight weeks, before she was pulled by her manager Manfred Wong – to do a commercial for Coca-Cola in Japan!

If Wong succeeds in keeping her locked in the local industry’s churn-out-the-crap-fast way of doing business, we may never see Shu Qi live up to her full potential.

But there is hope yet. Leading roles in movies like Millenium Mambo, Beijing Rocks, The Transporter and several upcoming projects shows a tendency towards better roles to showcase Shu Qi’s talent as a powerful actress – and not just a knock-out body with a trademark dizzying smile. As much as we like to see 5-6 new films with Shu Qi every year, we would much prefer to see her in one or two really good films. For that to happen, Shu Qi would probably have to look outside Hong Kong. Luckily, several directors outside of Hong Kong and Asia are starting to be aware of, what Shu Qi can do. If she is lucky and chooses wisely, we may see her on the podium at a future Oscar-night.

Shu Qi is one of the most prolific and gifted actresses of our time, Shu Qi rose to the top of the Asian movie scene garnering multiple awards and critical acclaim along the way. Born on April 16, 1976 in Taiwan, Shu Qi began as a model for adult magazines and other erotic photography. It did not take long for her to star in various soft porn films, before eventually switching to mainstream films.

Despite having one of the most appealing faces in Chinese cinema, she has never learned English, and because of this has rarely appeared in films outside of China.... READ MORE

Yesterday, Hong Kong media exposed that while Hong Kong goddess Rose Chan was eating a meal with male actors, Benny Chan and Joe Ma took advantage of her one after another, one second at her chest, another second grabbing her face forcing a kiss. Today, Gillian Chung who previously acted as Benny Chan's lover in <大唐女巡按> took to Sina Weibo to condemn that 'some' male actor has a habit of repeatedly being a pervert. She claimed that what she is saying is the truth and even encouraged Rose Chan to feel better. Cherrie Ying forwarded Ah Gil's Weibo and posted a "hmph" emoticon expressing her indignation about this incident.

Yesterday, Benny Chan apologized on Weibo saying that his actions were too over-the-top, and that he does not have any indecent thoughts towards Rose Chan. Joe Ma then expressed his regret on Weibo for not having stopped Benny's actions, and his "intimate" actions with Rose Chan were only consoling her. About this incident, many Hong Kong artists have stated their own opinions. Eric Tsang expressed anger at the way these two male actors acted, Nick Cheung felt so distressed that he swore lashing out at these actions and Timmy Hung pled for Benny Chan.

Today at 10:51 am, Hong Kong actress Gillian Chung who has filmed <大唐女巡按> with Benny Chan also posted her opinion on this matter. Ah Gil stated that she supports Rose Chan and hinted that "some" male actor is a repeat offender, not just this one time. "Rose Chan, I support you, this is already not the first time so-and-so has behaved like this, so you have to protect yourself." After posting this Weibo, many online users commented saying they hope Ah Gil does not butt into other people's quarrel, she should not hint who is a repeat offender, and that she should delete this Weibo.

Twenty minutes later, Ah Gil posted another Weibo message stating that what she is saying is the truth, and encouraged Rose Chan to feel better. "I am just speaking the ruth, hope that Rose Chan mood will return to normal quickly, add oil!"

Today at 11:33, mainland actress Nien Wan also forwarded Ah Gil's Weibo message, stating: "I also do not like how so-and-so is after getting drunk, Rose Chan I hope you calm down soon." Ah Gill immediately reposted saying: "Drunk harassment, tasteless!" It is worth mentioning that the three of them once worked together filming the TV series <大唐女巡按> . ... READ MORE
