On the afternoon of 10 December, TVXQ held a press conference at The Sherwood Hotel. Once the two slender and handsome men appeared, camera flashes were endless, with Yunho and Changmin greeting everyone in a friendly manner using Taiwanese, saying “Hi everyone, we are TVXQ.” After hearing that over 500 fans had been at the airport, breaking previous records for Songshan airport by a long shot, member Yunho and Changmin immediately said “Thank You” in Mandarin. It has been three years since they were last in Taiwan, and to see so many fans once they touched down at the airport gave them a very warm feeling, and they thanked the various online and offline medias for turning up today. Next year, they will first complete their Japan nationwide tour, then work on the recording of their new album, and hopefully be able to bring their new album to Taiwan!

Three Years Since They’ve Come, Misses Bubble Tea The Most, And Wants To Go To Taipei 101

(T/N: Taipei 101 is a skyscraper in Taipei, and is one of the tallest buildings in the world)

It’s been a long time since they were in Taiwan, and both men started off by showcasing their perfect Mandarin. Yunho said: “It’s been a long time, I really miss you all”, channeling his charm towards the camera. Changmin’s Chinese pronunciation was great as well, saying “I really miss everyone. I like you all” When the emcee asked what their favourite Chinese phrase was, Changmin said, in all seriousness, “I am Changmin”. Maintaining a straight face and saying that the above sentence was his favourite Chinese phrase, the maknae Changmin, who is often labeled by the fans as being the one with a very sharp tongue, proved that his thinking was indeed different.

When it came to the topic of Taiwan delicacies, Yunho said that he couldn’t forget about bubble tea, and Changmin said “Shaved Ice with Green Bean.” When asked “Isn’t ice bad for your voice?” Changmin immediately replied “No problem!” (T/N: in English), saying that he wanted to try Mango Ice and others as well! When asked about whether there was any place in Taiwan that they wanted to go, Yunho said with some regret that they would always pass by Taipei 101, and that he really wanted to go up to the observatory to take a look, even thinking about sneaking there at night!

Wants To Act In Taiwan, Favourite Artist Is Lin Chi-ling

This year, both members of TVXQ took turns to appear in Korean dramas, and Changmin said that initially challenging acting was difficult, but as he continued acting, he began to find it entertaining, and it was totally different from singing. If given a chance, he said that he would like to appear in a Taiwanese drama. However when the host changed the topic, and asked if there were any Taiwanese artists that they admired, both men thought for a long while, then Changmin said “Lin Chi-ling.” When asked what it was about Lin Chi-ling that attracted him, Changmin laughed and said that it was because he watched the movie “Red Cliff”! Lin Chi-ling’s character in the movie was elegant and beautiful, and he even went online to search for more information about Lin Chi-ling, praising her in Mandarin, “She’s really pretty!”

TVXQ’s Asia Tour Fan Party in Taiwan will be held the next day, and the fans have been waiting for a long time. The two men gave a shout-out to the fans, hoping that tomorrow they will light up the arena with a red ocean of penlights, and have a great time together!

"Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains", slated to be shot in Dubai, Hangzhou, Fuyang, Taipei, Tokyo and Milan is a big deal; it is the first major Chinese film to be predominantly produced outside China. The cast and crew were in Dubai to assure the powers that be in the capital of the United Arab Emirates that their city wouldn't get the "Mission Impossible 4" treatment: no camels in the streets, no sandstorms, just "the real fantasy world that Dubai is" according to director Sun Jianjun.
