Matisyahu has shaved off his beard - an unorthodox move for an Orthodox Jew.
The American-born reggae and alternative rock singer, born Matthew Paul Miller, shocked fans on Tuesday when he posted photos of himself on Twitter showing off his newly-shaven face.
"At the break of day I look for you at sunrise ... When the tide comes in I lose my disguise," he wrote, quoting his song “Thunder.”
The 32-year-old followed the tweet with a lengthier post on his blog, explaining his physical change also mimics his spiritual change.
“No more Chassidic reggae superstar,” he wrote. “Sorry folks, all you get is me…no alias. When I started becoming religious 10 years ago it was a very natural and organic process. It was my choice. My journey to discover my roots and explore Jewish spirituality — not through books but through real life.”
He added that “in order to become a good person I needed rules—lots of them—or else I would somehow fall apart. I am reclaiming myself.”
While some have taken the singer’s new look to mean he’s gone secular, Matisyahu insists he’s still regilious.
"For all of those who are being awesome, you are awesome. For all those who are confused: today I went to the Mikva and Shul just like yesterday," he explained.
And for fans of his music, Matisyahu losing his trademark facial hair doesn’t mean he’s ditching his talent as well.
“Get ready for an amazing year filled with music of rebirth,” he concluded. “And for those concerned with my naked face, don’t worry…you haven’t seen the last of my facial hair.”

Doomsday? End of the world? Well many have ideas, beliefs and proofs. Some say the Mayan Calendar Ends and the world ends, whilst others say with the Mayan Calendar ending it only means it starts all over again. Then theirs the Bibical prophecies of many like Casey, Hubbert, Nostradamus, etc. Theories of asteroid, or planet collision “Nibiru” goverment cover up.
Coinscience’s of the number 11 being significant . and on and on and on. But I came across something much more extraordinary than all that. Now, I am aware of the magnetic field is in shifting process right now, and that every 11 years the sun’s polar magnetic fields reverse. But what i didnt know was this:
Seriously read this article its most fascinating and really is an extrodinary event that is going to happen…well i should say has been happening since the its been occurring for quiet some time.
I’ll wait for your return………..
Read it?
Did you know that?? I didnt! Makes me feel like i was living under a rock, okay maybe so, afterall i breathe art, rarely watch tv or listen to the radio. And when i do watch tv its all the stuff i record and commerical free…lol . Anyway, unbeknownst to me a huge event is coming and it’s huge! What an amazing time to live in, will this event change the earth?, will we be able to see more things out there by the new positioning?, will we actual feel something at that moment?, will this cause more solar flares & worse weather patterns?, will gravity change as we know it significantly?
Please leave your thoughts, educated guess’s, other articles which apply to this post.
Judgement Day is often predictable. I do not know how many times a day it is predicted world destruction.
However, nothing is more troubling to the doomsday prophecy of the Maya.
Divination tribe, which formerly was known to be
advanced in this science, are now spread via the Internet and troubling.
In the manuscript of Mayan calendar, which is considered the most accurate calendar, events and forecast load during the period between 3113 BC to 2012 AD
Well, from the calendar that is, they predicted that on December 12, 2012, the Day of Judgement arrives.
Forecast did not mention the exact day of Judgement. There is mentioned in the Mayan language as The End of Times.
In the Mayan calendar which is very famous, predicted that in the period 1992-2012 the earth will be "purified", then human civilization will end this now and start entering a new civilization.
In the history of the world's ancient civilizations, the Mayans known for mastering the knowledge about a particular astronomy and deep, perfect dating system, an elaborate astronomical calculation methods of abstract thinking and high.
Perfection and the accuracy of The times make people wonder.
This mysterious group of people who lived in southern Mexico now (Yucatan) Guetemala, northern Belize and western Honduras. Lots of pyramids, temples and ancient buildings built by the Maya who still can be found there.
There are also many stone carvings and mysterious writings on the tables that they left behind.
The archaeologists believe that the Maya had a great civilization. It can be seen from relics such as books, tables of stone, and the stories of mystical.
Controversy
But it true, the Day of Judgement will arrive in 2012?
In the book Apocalypse 2012 (Lawrence E Joseph: 2007), author of the bloody Lebanese who served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aerospace Consulting Corporation in New Mexico is presented very clearly and scientifically about the possibility of natural disasters in the year.
Disasters, among others, the cycle of solar activity which peaked in 2012 which led to great heat in the earth, especially the atmosphere has experienced thinning and perforated in several parts so that in addition to heating the earth with radicals also melt the ice at the poles and also cause storms and hurricanes that awesome.
Earth's magnetic field that serves as the primary defense against solar radiation the earth began to crack. Polar shift is also underway.
Center of the solar energy entering the field of interstellar clouds. The cloud that activate and destroy the balance of the sun and the planets atmosphere.
The Russian geophysicists argue that when the earth will enter a cloud of energy in the year 2012 to 2020 and will lead to major disasters like never before.
Imuwan states dinosaurs and other species have become extinct due to a giant asteroid impact 65 million years ago.
According cycle scientifically calculated, should it have happened again in the present moment.
Interestingly, the Mayan prophecy (as well as the Hopi tribe, Ancient Egypt, and several other ancient tribes) in the calendar with details of 2012 revealed that an early end at the same time the new age.
Like the birth of a son of man, the birth of this new age would be filled with blood.
Ancient book of Chinese, the I Ching, also declared a major disaster will occur in 2012.
Solar Storm === ====
Outside the Mayan prophecy that the basis of the calculation is not yet known, according to Deputy for Information Science and Aerospace Studies, Institute of Aeronautics and Space Agency (Lapan), Bambang S Tedjasukmana, a phenomenon that can be predicted emergence in around the year 2011-2012 was the storm the sun.
This prediction is based on the monitoring of space weather monitoring centers in several countries since the 1960s and in Indonesia by Lapan since 1975.
The Center for Space Science Utilization Lapan, Sri Kaloka, explains solar storms occur when it appears flares and Coronal Mass Ejection (CME).
Flare is a huge explosion in the solar atmosphere a power equivalent to 66 million times the Hiroshima atomic bomb blast.
The CME is a very big explosion that causes the particles burst of speed 400 kilometers per second.
Sun weather disturbances can affect the condition of cargo space to the Earth's magnetic influence, further impacting on the electrical system, which relies on transport satellite navigation global positioning system (GPS) and communication systems that use satellite communications and high-frequency waves (HF), and can endanger the lives or human health.
"Because the Earth's magnetic interference, pacemaker users can experience significant disruption," said Sri, as quoted in Kompas.com.
Anticipatory measures
From the sun, billions of particles of electrons down to the ionosphere of the earth in four days, obviously Jiyo Harjosuwito, Head of Research Group Ionosphere and Radio Wave Propagation.
The impact of the invasion of the electron particle in a magnetic pole mummy lasted for several days.
During that time may be anticipatory measures to reduce its impact.
Anticipating the emergence of space storms, continued Bambang, Lapan is building the center of an integrated space weather monitoring system at the Center for Space Science Utilization Lapan Bandung.
Objects that are monitored include layers of the ionosphere and geomagnetic, and radio waves.
This system will be fully operational in January 2009.
Anticipatory measures that have been done Lapan is to contact the parties who may be affected by the advent of space storms, which Dephankam, Army, Department of Transportation, PLN, and Depkominfo, and local government. Currently training for local government officials who operate the HF radio has been done long ago, now there are about 500 people who are trained to face the radio signal interference.
Bambang urged PLN to perform anticipatory steps to perform the electrical system outage in order to avoid a more severe impact.
To that end, socialization should be done in public when the move will be taken.
In addition, aviation and shipping which rely on GPS satellite navigation system should be used as a manual system when a space storm happen, in guiding the takeoff or landing of aircraft.
Electron density changes caused by space weather, clear of researchers from the PPSA Lapan, Effendi, can change the speed of radio waves when passing through the ionosphere, giving rise to the GPS signal propagation delai.
These changes resulted in deviations in the determination of distance and position.
In addition, microelectronics components in satellite navigation and communications will be damaged so that the life is accelerating, so that it can no longer function.
Currently Lapan has developed a planning model to deal with the use of frequency interference to HF radio communications.
"Currently being prepared for the field of modeling the same navigation," said Bambang.
Wedding son of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Yudhoyono and Edhie Baskoro princess Siti Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa Rubi Aliya described as moments together Srivijaya and Majapahit.

Edhie Baskoro ceremony Yudhoyono (Ibas) and Siti Ruby Aliya Rajasa (Aliya) will be held today. Democrat judge's son married the daughter of President Yudhoyono and Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa brings positive benefits to the proximity of PD and PAN. Many people connect the proximity of PD with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Chairman of the PAN as the initial step before the presidential election led to Hatta in 2014. "If the emotional connection plus either PD-PAN, thank God. We are thankful for all good," said Wasekjen PD, Ramadan Pohan told AFP on Thursday (11/24/2011). According to him, communication PAN and PD would be more meetings. Moreover, two blue party has the same agenda. "PAN and PD brings together his reforms, both the middle and rational party. The future will be more closely again," said Ramadan. But this closeness, he says, not necessarily culminate in the presidential election of 2014. There is no certainty of PD will be joined in support of Hatta in the presidential election of 2014. Models often have enough trouble trying to stay on their sky-scraping heels on the catwalk without having to worry about suffering a wardrobe malfunction.
But French TV presenter Karine Ferri, revealed a little more than she intended to at the opening show of the Salon du Chocolat (Chocolate Fair) in Paris.
The 29-year-old, who started her career as a model before becoming a finalist in the French version of The Bachelor and turning to presenting, was ever the professional when her chocolate skirt started to shatter half way down the runway.
Ferri initially tried to stop her clothing from crumbling, but then just embraced her new mini skirt - which exposed the tops of her stockings.
She looked positively overdressed compared to her fellow walkers who made their way down the confectionery-scattered catwalk though.
Former Miss France Cindy Fabre wore a gladiator-style bikini and singer and porn star Clara Morgane's bra was made out of a few well-placed cherries.
Tounge in cheek: Tiga To (left), Cindy Fabre and Blandine Ballavoir all show off their elaborate outfits
Putting on an act: Film stars Actress Valentine Feau and Anca Radici both walked down the chocolate-strewn catwalk While Ferri's dress was initially intended to be a demure, Disney Princess-inspired frock, other creations were much more raunchy. The stunning Tiga To's dress featured a huge bottom made out of chocolate on the back - as did Morgane's Much was also made of the cherries that adorned some of the dresses with the models pulling provocative and seductive poses.
Men got in on the action too, in a slightly more covered up - but equally flamboyant - way. French figure skater Philippe Candeloro dressed up as a giant chocolate ice cream, complete with a wafer-covered cone.
Newsreader Jean-Philippe Doux dressed as a circus ringleader in an over-sized bow-tie and tails all made of chocolate.
The fashion show marked the beginning of the 17th Salon du Chocolat at Porte de Versailles in Paris - a yearly trade fair for the international chocolate industry.

reports that exiled Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi is dead have now been confirmed. There's photo and video evidence, and it is graphic.
Unlike photo or video evidence of the death of Osama bin Laden, which was never released to the public, Al Jazeera has already aired it this afternoon.
News outlets across the world are reporting the story along with a photo of bloody, dying Moammar Gadhafi, moments after he was captured in Libya.
Libyan officials have confirmed Gadhafi was shot to death when rebels pulled him out of a storm drain near his home town of Sirte early this morning.
We've posted the photo and video of Gadhafi's dead body taken immediately after the 69-year-old despot was killed. Be forewarned, both are graphic:

Kevin you are absolutely right. I am not saying this wasnt the best end. I DO believe some people just deserve to die, Manson, Hitler, etc. but to publicly celebrate it whilst spreading his dead body just kinda makes me sick. The human race isn't going to make it."
Just lowered them to his level of cruelty and despotism in my opinion. And they want to rebuild peace and tranquility from a barbaric act like this. Mark my words, I bet it won't happen. In 10-12 years, we'll just see more of the same for these people with another ruler gone bad, because negative equals negative; negative never equals positive.
While I applaud their victory, I certainly don't applaud their treatment of the old and dead. It's uncivilized barbarism at its peak, and it has to stop if a society ever wants to evolve into a civilized one. The guy should have been given a trial and then hung.
When the strong man armed himself, and the stronger than he disarmed him, he will definitely destroy him, his house and all his goods. Ghadafi is good for you.
Nemesis wont overturn without repentance,GHadafi may be dead but the libyans should not jubilate over the death of a man who had stood up his arrogant head against external dictators.institutionalizing the country like Libya will carry heavy task ,a state in fragility .

A line of 357 women clad in bikinis and pink visors marched one mile down the beach in Gold Coast, Australia, to break the world record for biggest bikini parade. Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records monitored the event and confirmed that the Cayman Islands' previous record of 331 had been broken.
Gold Coast Bulletin News spoke with Hannah Lindgren, a participant in the parade. "The Gold Coast is all about beautiful women and beautiful beaches," she said. "It is the perfect place to hold the bikini parade." Organizers are hopeful that the parade will change public perception of Gold Coast as a crime capital.
Predictably, the parade may have served as a distraction for some. Sky News spoke with Australian lifeguards on duty. "We've been trying to watch the water... but we have been having difficulty patrolling the beach," one reportedly said.

Developing an eating disorder is no easy task. Becoming an anorexic, for example, requires months, even years, of obsessive, destructive tunnel vision. Anorexia demands absolute, single-minded dedication. It’s exhausting — and it can be extraordinarily lonely.
That’s where technology comes in. Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, anorexics and would-be anorexics around the globe can access more than 400 web sites designed solely for them. Need to know how to disguise your weight loss so concerned (read: jealous) friends will stop hounding you to eat? Looking for a few words of support as you launch into your latest deprivation diet? Or perhaps you’d like to know the tricks for satisfying that pesky weekly weigh-in at the doctor’s office?
Bringing the darkness to light
Beyond their obvious “ick” factor, the sites provide a fascinating insight into the world of anorexics. For eating disorder educators, the very language of the sites can provide invaluable hints into a troubled psyche. “I think some of these sites are worded in a way that indicates the hosts do want help,” says Vivian Meehan, president and founder of the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, or ANAD. “They’re putting themselves out there. But then they also put up a defense against it. Don’t come on the site if you’re only interested in putting us down.”
That psychology plays out almost to the letter on one of the most visible pro-anorexia sites (or “pro-ana,” as devotees call them), known as “My Goddess Ana.” Accused in the press of perpetuating a deadly disease, the site’s 20-year-old creator offers this reply. “The opening page of the site clearly stipulates that the content of the site is Pro-Anorexic and should not be viewed by those who are in recovery or are thinking about recovery, or who, indeed, do not suffer from an ED. If you are reading this as an objector to Pro-Ana sites, why did you enter in the first place when the entrance page has told you not to?”... READ MORE
“Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”

The new full-length movie trailer for the American version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo shows the ludicrous lengths that Hollywood goes to in order to spoon-feed lazy American movie goers. It’s a shot-by-shot, line-by-line remake of the original Swedish film, using actors (Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara) who were chosen because of their resemblance to the Swedish leads (Michael Nyquist, Noomi Rapace).
The only difference is that the new movie is in English, whereas the original had English subtitles. Play both trailers at once and see if you can spot anything substantive that director David Fincher has added to Niels Arden Oplev’s original:
The U.S. version:
Is it really so hard for Americans to figure out that the Swedish for “professional hacker” is “professional hacker”? An economist would note the inefficiencies and waste of duplication. For some reason, all good foreign movies must now be made twice — once in their countries of origin and then painstakingly copied for the massive U.S. market. It’s almost as Hollywood has some sort of full employment act for American directors.
Consumers are at fault, too. In 2000, the Chinese movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon smashed box office records for a foreign film in the U.S. and may thought that perhaps Americans were broadening their horizons. Not so. Research shows that Americans have become more insular in their viewing habits:
In the 1960s, imports accounted for 10 percent of the U.S. film box office,” says Toby Miller, coauthor of Global Hollywood. “In 1986, that figure was 7 percent. Today, it is 0.75 percent.”
If you’re interested in the next movie installment of the late Stieg Larssen’s thriller franchise, here’s the trailer for The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. Unfortunately, it’s in Swedish with English subtitles, so you might want to wait three or four years until a version fit for Americans is released.

In a statement grieving widow, Vashti, paid a moving tribute to her 'beautiful young warrior'.
She said: "On a beautiful sunny Sydney spring morning, surrounded by his family, in the arms of his loving wife, our beautiful young warrior Andy Whitfield lost his 18 month battle with lymphoma cancer.
"He passed peacefully surrounded by love. Thank you to all his fans whose love and support have helped carry him to this point.
"He will be remembered as the inspiring, courageous and gentle man, father and husband he was."
Andy's colleagues on sex and sandals epic Spartacus: Blood and Sand expressed their grief on Twitter.

After his condition worsened it was announced Liam McIntyre would take over the role of gladiator Spartacus.
The badshah of Bollywood playback singing, Mohammed Rafi, who gave Indian cinema 40 golden years of haunting melodies, was one of the few survivors in the industry who lived through its hard glitter with his soul in place, says his son and biographer Shahid Rafi.
Shahid, who is penning a book about his father with writer Sujata Dev, says he wants to explore the human side of his father.
"The book goes much beyond a conventional biography. It explores Mohammed Rafi the persona behind the musician, besides his musical legacy," Shahid Rafi told IANS.
"My father was a family man who did not socialise. He spent time with his family after work. He was very soft-spoken, down-to-earth, kind and charitable. He was a great father," he said.
The book, which is a tribute to Rafi on his 31st death anniversary, will be published by Om Books International in December.
"My father gave everything to the industry because as a human being, he was very different. He had a compassionate soul. It was difficult to be in the industry. As an impartial observer of the movie music, I think there cannot be another Rafi in the world. We are going to talk about my father as a human being and as a man in the book," he added.
Rafi Jr. was in the capital with co-author Sujata Dev to promote the book and rally support for a music institution in memory of his father, the Mohammed Rafi Academy.
Shahid set up the academy last year to teach Indian classical and contemporary music to youngsters and groom talent, mostly from the economically marginalised groups, who wanted to make music their livelihood, he said.
Shahid, who is hunting for talent to groom in his music academy, said he was looking for young musicians of promise from poor families who could not afford professional training.
"They don't have to pay. I will teach them everything - from music to how to handle a microphone and body language on stage," Shahid said.
Co-author of the biography Sujata Dev, who is also supporting Shahid in his mission to promote budding talent, said "the biography would be interview-based".
"We have avoided the internet completely. There are several biographies about Rafi's music. We met several people associated with the musician, like Shammi Kapoor, Usha Khanna, composer Pyarelal, Rishi Kapoor and even his instrumentalists to recreate Rafi's persona. It will be a little more than a biography spanning his whole life between 1930 to 1980," Dev said.
"He began his career as a playback at a time when Bollywood was in transition from the silent era to the talkies," Dev told IANS.
Recalling an anecdote, Dev said in course of her interviews she chanced upon the wife of one of the musician's old associates, who "emptied her jewellery box to Rafi and told him to build a music academy".
"Rafi returned the jewels to her with a token gift of Rs.1. His percussionist remembers him as a 'farishta' (angel), not a musician," Dev said.
Born on Dec 24, 1924, in Punjab, Mohammed Rafi began singing by chanting the notes that a "fakir" (Muslim saint) sung in his village. The family later moved to Lahore.
Rafi trained under Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Abdul Wahid Khan, Pundit Jiwanlal Matto and Firoze Nizami. He sang with K.L. Saigal at a concert for the first time at the age of 13. It opened the stage for Rafi.
The musician was awarded the Padma Shri in 1967. He died of a heart attack in Mumbai July 31, 1981, at the age of 56.

Have you ever walked in a tropical river in the country at night and Suddenly out of the river feel the light balls for eggs up into the sky? This Happens Every year in October in the Mekong river (this river have appeared in the movie Rambo 3). This Phenomenon Called natural strange ball of fire" dragon ".
These balls of light emerged from the water, get out and climbed into the sky and then Disappear by Itself. Cool huh? These balls of light casualties and NEVER NEVER burn anything. Strange balls of fire was seen Every year hundreds of people and many of his videos on youtube. < span style = "font-family: arial ;">
Some Scientists try to explain this Phenomenon. They say this May be due to Fermentation in the river sediment. Sediments derived from animal waste matters out of the gas bubbles, rising to the surface of the river and burned so the water moving. Well, this keliatannya the most plausible explanation.
